Roma - paninoteca 200° gradi

Cos’è che trasforma un semplice panino in un Signor Panino? Per scoprirlo siamo andati in un posto chiamato 200 Gradi, a Roma, dove si fanno ottimi panini, e che, proprio per questo, ci sembra riduttivo chiamare “paninoteca” (anche se, in fondo in fondo, quello è …).

Così alla prima occasione utile siamo andati ad "assaggiare", anche per mantenere fede al nostro motto, quando diciamo L'HO PROVATO!

Il posto, tra l'altro, si trova a pochi passi da piazza San Pietro, e quindi in uno stesso pomeriggio si possono facilmente alimentare corpo e spirito in una botta sola.

Veniamo subito al dunque: i panini sono ottimi, particolari e di buona sostanza. Se andate, non fate come noi che per gola e curiosità abbiamo fatto un abbondante bis, uscendo dal piccolo locale con la pancia bella piena.
Considerate anche che non è facile trovare un sapore particolare in due fette di pane con dentro qualcosa, ma i ragazzi di 200° ci riescono benissimo.
Se non dovete guidare (oltre a San Pietro lì vicino c’è uno dei più bei quartieri di Roma), resistete alla tentazione della coca cola e dirottate la vostra sete su una birra o su un buon bicchiere di vino.
Peccato che il locale sia piccolino e forse un poco "freddo"; non brutto, anzi, ma questi panini (così come i dolci o le insalate) meriterebbero forse una casa ancor più accogliente.

What turns a simple sandwich into a "Mister Sandwich"? To find out, we went to a place called 200 Gradi, in Rome, where they make very good sandwiches, and, for this reason, it seems reductive to simply call them "sandwiches".
So at the first opportunity we went to eat them, also to remain faithful to our claim when we say "AND I TRIED IT!"
 
The post, among other things, is a few steps from St. Peter's Square, and so in one afternoon you can easily feed the body and spirit at the same time.
The sandwiches are excellent, a true specialty! If you go, not to do what we've done, and try to take just one, so you'll not leave the small room with a nice full belly.
Consider also that it is not easy to find a particular taste in two slices of bread with something in it, but the guys at 200 Gradi they succeed very well.
If you do not have to drive (nearby St. Peter's is one of the most beautiful areas of Rome), resist the temptation of coca cola and choose a beer or a glass of wine.
Too bad the room is little and maybe a little "cold", not bad, indeed, but these sandwiches (as well as their desserts and salads) deserve a home even more welcoming.
